Poor People's United Fund provides support for several small grassroots organizations in the greater Boston Area. Most of these organizations have been members since PPUF was founded over 23 years ago. Through support of these organizations, PPUF touches the lives of hundreds of disenfranchised individuals who live in unstable or unsafe conditions, below the poverty line, and outside mainstream society.

Disabled People's Liberation Front
Disabled People's Liberation Front organizes disabled persons, helping them to support one another and advocating for improved educational opportunities, access to jobs, improved transportation facilities and the many other needs of disabled persons.

Everyone Deserves Enough
Everyone Deserves Enough provides support to organizations providing meals for poor and homeless people in public spaces in the Boston area.

MASS-A-PEAL
MASS-A-PEAL is a group of current and former welfare recipients who operate a food pantry and a clothing store, run youth programs and teach budget classes on the Lower Cape.

Project Care and Concern
Project Care and Concern serves the poor people residing at Columbia Point, providing food, transportation, youth camps and elderly services.

Sojourner House
Sojourner House helps families remain intact by providing housing and support as they seek to find affordable housing.

Survival News
Survival News is a publication of Survivors Inc., a welfare rights organization for low-income women and their families. In addition to publishing Survival News, they advocate for clients at welfare offices, sponsor a Welfare Rights Workshop for low-income women, and work to bring about a more humane welfare system.
